Ming Zhou Ding recieved his PhD from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1990, and his advisor was Edward Ott. The title of his thesis is Strange sets in quasiperiodically forced systems and in chaotic scattering.
He is a member of the Center for Complex Systems at Florida Atlantic University where the goal of the Center is to blend emerging concepts and models of complex systems (e.g. in nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory) with specific experimental model systems in the behavioral and brain sciences.
