Note that solid segment iterate toward solid segment and dotted segment iterate toward dotted segment. For example, the top segment bounding region C gets mapped to the upper portion of the curve bounding region A and next into the middle segment bounding region B. Similarly, the bottom segment bounding region C gets mapped to the lower portion of the curve bounding region B and next into the middle segment bounding region A.
